Thanks for your comments, Darla, and I see your point. And George Orwell's quote does fit quite well in this day and age, where most would rather remain in their comfort zone (or sheep's clothing)rather than be a "truth" revolutionary. I recall 1984 written by him, though I've never actually read the book.
The christianity thing of which "what is truth" is linked to (didn't know that before this, never tried searching actually), it's also somewhat ridiculous don't you think. Not wishing to sound blasphemic, but God did not create religion now did he.

Three comments on your question: 1. It is such a simple question you ask. It is the answer that is hard, eh? I figure that it is not an ability at all beyond human capacity to answer, that the truth lies within the core of ourselves. I do not believe it takes rise from any being beyond or outside ourselves.
2. I ran across this quote by George Orwell recently: "During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act." What we need today in this world are more revolutionaries willing to speak up!
3. When you google "what is truth" you get nothing but christianity links. That is a scary thing to me...no one should corner the market on truth!
